In Spain, however, hi-visibility clothing serves a rather different purpose for roadside workers such as prostitutes. There’s an ordinance that requires them girls to wear hi-vis clothing to minimize traffic accidents. Weird but true. At least you know you’re not dealing with a female officer.
Construction and roadside workers are all required to wear safety clothing prior to work to protect them potential injuries caused by accidents or any unfortunate events that may occur while on duty. One type of safety clothing common to construction and roadside workers is the safety vest.
